What is snagging? A closer look into common repair issues.

20 December 2020

What is snagging?

A snag is usually a small imperfection that appears when building work has been finished on a property. It's typically something that looks damaged, hasn't been fitted properly, or just doesn't look quite finished.

Common examples include uneven surfaces or chipped worktops. When moving into a brand-new property, the housebuilder will usually have already inspected for snags. We work with some of the best housebuilders in the North West and they all go to great lengths to minimise snagging — but houses are built by human beings, and small issues do happen.

At Surface Magic Repairs we don't just help with snags on new builds — we work anywhere there's a damaged surface. Our homes are often our biggest investment, and a chip in a marble worktop can feel like a disaster. Your first thought might be, "I have to replace the entire counter — this is going to cost a fortune." It doesn't have to. We have the technology and skills to make these surfaces look brand new at a fraction of the cost of replacement.

We repair all hard surfaces, so no matter what the snag is, we can fix it.
